What is Faith

  • Faith is not positive thinking.
  • Faith is not optimism.
  • Faith is not looking on the bright side.

Faith is simply acting on what God says.

Faith is more than saying that you believe; it is acting on what you believe. (Hebrew 11:1)

Faith is never a blind leap, but a deep settled conviction that God will do what He has promised!

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him (Hebrew 11:6)

By faith Abraham, even though he was past age and Sarah herself was barren was enabled to become a father because he considered him faithful who had made the promise. (Hebrew 11:11)

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
